Thanks Todd. From a development team perspective we'd have to invest a great 
deal of time to learn and support a new spec, and it's inevitable that there 
will be collisions between JDO and JPA. At this time I don't see a compelling 
reason to invest in JDO interfaces. . I'll close the JIRA as won't fix - if 
this issue becomes popular we can always reopen it.
