Hi Apache OpenJPA PMC, Your board report this month was not approved due to its sparsity and due to the fact that two directors identified that it seems like almost a duplicate of your prior report.
We are concerned (especially given your comment that you are looking to attract more contributors) that you guys may need some help and guidance on (a) how to provide more detail in your board reports; and (b) how to attract more contributors. Our suggestion is to check the detail of the other board reports that were approved and provide more information like (a) what types of development are going on (or not); (b) the dates of PMC/committer additions; (c) prospectus for releases, etc. and other general information outlined in here: http://www.apache.org/foundation/board/reporting Regarding contributors, do you guys have any active strategies for recruiting new contributors?
