Yes, mostly for bug fixes. I say mostly because there have been cases where
new features / support have been added to a support branch. That is up to
the branch owner whether to accept new changes into a 'support' branch.
That being said, 2.3.x was created for TomEE... so they can do what they
want with it.

I vote to leave it in 2.4.x unless you feel compelled to port it to 2.3.x.
Since this was added for a WAS customer, I suspect Heath will pull it back
to one of the branches that he maintains.

There might have been a wiki page about this, but I wasn't able to find it
on the openjpa site. It seem that when we migrated to the current wiki
some(many) pages were lost.
