Hi guys if someone is interested I made a simple loadingPanel http://www.geo-solutions.it/ol/examples/loadingPanel.html I had to modify a bit the OpenLayers.Layer.Grid in order to trigger the right events. http://www.geo-solutions.it/ol/lib/OpenLayers/Layer/Grid.js
