The four above are things I'd like to see it make into 2.6. A huge improvement in my eyes would be automatic reprojection for vector layers. My personal goal is (surprise surprise) to have the KML styling support in my sandbox make it into 2.6 as well (and then labels and Google style popups come in really handy ;-)). It needs cleaning up but is quite feature complete. Something that isn't there but would be very useful for the future: implement ahocevar's suggestions for improving drawFeatures with a render intent. This also would benefit the KML work (StyleMap).
