http://trac.openlayers.org/ticket/1250 Is a relatively easy patch to cook up. If you're familiar with Javascript, it shouldn't be too bad to put together. If you're interested in learning a bit about JS, feel free to glance at it, and try to put together a patch: I'll gladly help anyone out over IRC (crschmidt) if you're interested in getting some help.
