Dear Dev, Just a quick note to say hey and to test out the 2.7 waters. As per previous mails, I am still hell bent on doing this release by the end of August. A casual glance at the release page[1] shows that there is still a long way to go.
Well, as I stated before (and we all agreed on, mind you) this time around we're going to take a shot at a timely release, meaning booting tickets out to the 2.8 queue. Tomorrow I'm going to pick up where I left off today, sifting through emails and other admin bits... but very soon, I am going to start moving tickets... starting with the ones assigned to me that I know I won't have time for. If, over the course of the next few days, you see a ticket that you are actively working on bumped into the 2.8 milestone, please contact me personally... hopefully with clear information on your dev status for the ticket and target date to be finished. Note that there is also a healthy queue of tickets to be reviewed.
