I think it is a quite good habbit of keeping Wicket in sync. From my experience once you get stuck into a specific version of a web framework you kind of lock yourself into a trap. Like we did with the SWF8 stuff. The effort to update that code is bigger then just rewrite it in HTML5 :) So better we don't do the same mistakes twice at keep it to the latest Wicket version as far as possible.
