When somebody is recording his audio/video then what happens is often that you have gaps in the beginning or ending of the recording. If you would simply use the recording and calc the start time of it and mix it with the rest the audio would not be in sync with the video anymore. In the recording converter we add those gaps as silent seconds to the end and the beginning of the recordings of the extracted audio.
