The error message: "A required class was missing while executing org.codehaus.mojo:wagon-maven-plugin:1.0-beta-5:download: org/apache/commons/io/IOUtils"
Seems more like a dependency issue. Some library is in the wrong version. I am not too sure though. Maybe we can add a explicit dependency for a Jar that contains this class so that Maven 3.0.2 can build it.
