Dear OpenMeetings Developers and Maxim,

Here are the test results of accessing OM screenshare folder from browser

(1) https://<Our FQDN>/<Reverse_Proxy_sub-domain>/screenshare

(2) https://<Our FQDN>/<Reverse_Proxy_sub-domain>/screenshare/openmeetings-screenshare-3.1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar

All of these test cases bring us back to the OM signin page.

We understand that it should take us to the folder (URL1 above) and download the JAR file (URL2). It is not doing that, even though
all features except screensharing are working well WITHOUT port number.
Also, all features including screensharing work perfectly WITH port number.
Environment: CentOS 6.5, MySQL, Java 1.7.0_u67

Test case 1: Reverse proxy URLs of screenshare folder

https://<Our FQDN>/<Reverse_Proxy_sub-domain>/screenshare

https://<Our FQDN>/<Reverse_Proxy_sub-domain>/screenshare/openmeetings-screenshare-3.1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar

Test case 2: With port number. No reverse proxy. Screensharing works. But these URLs bring back to the signin page.

http://<Our_FQDN>:5080/openmeetings/screenshare

http://<Our_FQDN>:5080/openmeetings/screenshare/openmeetings-screenshare-3.1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Susheel Jalali

Dear OpenMeetings Developers and Maxim,

Here is our input regarding the screensharing error:

Administration -> Configuration -->application.base.url = https://
<Our_FQDN>/openmeetings

Still, when we launch public.jnlp, it gives “Unable to launch openmeetings
screensharing applet” in the dialog popup. The error is below. We are
using HAProxy for reverse proxy. The configuration (see below) simply
replaces an external https URL with an internal http.

Environment: CentOS 6.5, MySQL and Java 1.7_u67.

Dear OpenMeetings Developers,
We would appreciate your insights into our screensharing tests in OM
3.1.0. When we run the downloaded public_#.jnlp file (see below), we get
the following test results where first two succeed, and third one fails
(Exception Log included below). Application.base.url settings were
changed
suitably for each test case:

(1)Within LAN (using local DNS URL): works fine.

(2)From WAN (using <FQDN:5080> in URL): works fine.

(3)From WAN (using <FQDN> with reverse proxy): it gives “*Unable
*to launch openmeetings screensharing applet” in the dialog popup.

OM 3.0.6 works fine in the same environment.

OM 3.0.7 worked fine. But while downloading screensharing applet it used
to expose the port number <FQDN:5080> even in reverse proxy scenario.

Server 2: CentOS 7, MariaDB
