Yes... this would need to be handled somewhere else... I don't have any
solution where this should be... maybe an idea..
I just thought, while I was using it for testing... Moderator will need
it, there are not just informations, it is also to do several things...
For normal user it is a bit different...
Information about coming/leaving user, "raise your hand" and ask for
whiteboard and moderators rights... maybe I forgot something... this
might be handled different...
e.g.
- coming/leaving user with an temporary overlay at the bottom of the
user list
- raise your hand an icon beside settings/audio/video icons as long as
my "arm is up"
- changing icons if I click the button right of whiteboard/moderator
till I got this right...
maybe it just make it all more complicated... maybe it is not possible
to change things in that way... maybe there are much more better ideas
outside... I don't know
by now I'm happy with the functionality... I was thinking about the long
run... maybe with 4.0.0 there is already something different in the
background, that make it possible/impossible to do something in that way...
Greetings Peter

Hello Peter,
If I do remember correctly, you proposed to add notification for the user so
he/she is aware request is logged and will be processed by moderator
.....

Hi Maxim,
I'm also only one person with 2 browsers and two user... so if we make a
test here with more user, I will have a look at it...
The solution so far is working and for us it was a missing feature...
What I was thinking is, does a normal user need "activities and actions". I
think it could be removed in the long run. Just to keep it all as simple as
possible... Should we discuss this somewhere?

Hello Peter,
The list should scroll to show the user
But I haven't tested this, I only have me as user :) so please let me know
is something need to be improved
I tried to implement more generic solution
i..e theme CSS class is reused, you can easily "re-target" user any time
later
Icon will require "client-server round trips", user list is being re-drawn
on user add/remove, right change etc.
So I would prefer "client side solution"

Hi Maxim,
this should work. Thank you so far.
In the long run I would prefer an Icon in the user list, but I think it
is
enough to do in 4.0.0.
Today I could not test it with many user... How will this react, in a
session with lots of user? Will the user list be scrolled to the picked
user? Otherwise it would be difficult to click and search...
Probably is is also good to sort the user list on latest changes...
Moderator(s) on top and after that user that has latest change something
(chat, raise your hand, ask for permissions...) WDYT?

Peter Dähn updated OPENMEETINGS-1607:
-------------------------------------
will test it today... was out of office the last days...
Greetings Peter
"Raise your hand" notification should also be added in user-list
----------------------------------------------------------------
Key: OPENMEETINGS-1607
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira
/browse/OPENMEETINGS-1607
Project: Openmeetings
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: HTML5/Room
Affects Versions: 3.2.1
Reporter: Peter Dähn
Assignee: Maxim Solodovnik
Priority: Minor
Fix For: 3.2.2, 4.0.0
Notification for raise your hand should be added to user-list.
If one as moderator wants to react with moderator-, whiteboard-,
audio/video rights or private-chat, one need to search the name found
in
action&activities panel in the user list. This could be "difficult" in
a
room with a lot of user.
The hand-symbol beside the private-chat icon could be useful. A click
from the moderator should remove the hand.
So one could handle questions without searching in the user-list.
