I don't have a time frame of when that will be fixed, there is no one assigned to it right now and no other developers have claimed it. You are a watcher on that ticket now, so you should get notifications when parts of it are updated. 1.9 is due by the end of the year (approx), so it will def get attention from us by then unless someone else volunteers to work on it before that.
