>From what i know Jboss ships and actually deploys to tomcat behind the scenes so technically if a war file can run on tomcat it can run inside jboss, there are just a few things you need to keep in mind;
1- The Jboss version you are running has the right version of tomcat, most stable and old jboss versions run tomcat 5. 2- Be sure that you are dropping the war file in the appropriate folder because jboss comes with several folders where you can deploy and there is a reason for this. 3- Some J2EE application servers come with certain libraries in their shared lib folder that can be used across all applications deployed to it e.g jdbc drivers and javamail jars, so be sure there are no conflicts otherwise you will keep get unrelated error logs when the application can't get deployed Check on the above and ensure that none is the reason why you are failing to deploy it. FYI, i have test run OpenMRS on JBoss before but not lately.
