Dear all,
As you may know, the 22nd of August is the ‘firm’ pencils down date for us GSoC interns. Basically, this means that we must ‘officially’ stop work on our projects today. So winding off, let me make this an opportunity to thank you (yes, you) and everyone else, for their support throughout the program. Let me start off with my mentors, Glen and Burke, who have always been a great source of inspiration and help. To be pretty honest, never before in my professional career have I ever looked forward to a scrum or call than I had with these two. It was a rare privilege to work with you, and I will really miss our meetings. Next comes Ben, whom I worked with during my first few months with OpenMRS. He had a terrible time patching up my initial tickets, and frankly I’m quite amazed that he hadn’t given up on me long before GSoC even began. [?] Next on the list is Darius, who let me copy his ideas, and didn’t seem to mind helping my single brain cell understand the complex designs he had come up with. I must also thank Daniel, who lives closer to my time zone, so is generally awake at the same time as me. His only fault is that he is a little too helpful, but we’re willing to overlook that for now.[?] Last but not least comes Michael (who is almost always awake and online) and Robbie, our own student advisor. Many thanks also to the teams at Indiana, PIH, the Regenstrief institute and of course my fellow interns. Also not to forget Dr. Paul, who represents one half of the founding brains behind this wonderful project. But anyway, this is merely a ‘thank you’, and not a good bye; I plan to stick around for a good while yet. See you around on IRC. -- Best Regards, Suranga Kasthurirathne _________________________________________ To unsubscribe from OpenMRS Developers' mailing list, send an e-mail to [email protected] with "SIGNOFF openmrs-devel-l" in the body (not the subject) of your e-mail.
