The module is operational already, but is still unreleased because of several not-so-user-friendly features surrounding setup, admin, and usage. The goal of this sprint is to iron those out and announce+release the module to the community for expanded usage. We have several "guest" developers already volunteering to participate and we'd always love to have some more. If you want to join, *add your name to the sprint wiki page* linked above and join us in irc next week. You can join for just a few days or just a few tickets. This would be a great way to get in depth and learn more about the sync module behind the scenes.
