What do you mean with hosting? To check if it is running you could use a web browser and go to localhost:8080/openmrs. look at $tomcat_home/webapps/, there should be a .war file that you copy from your dist folder of your project to there.
$tomcat_home vary from windows and linux environments, do not know where is it in Linux.
