At PIH in Rwanda we've been looking at different options for monitoring remote OpenMRS servers, including server monitoring tools like Nagios and Zabbix. As part of that I've been looking at JMX and how to use that to feed information from OpenMRS into one of those monitoring tools.
I've pretty much finished a first version of a JMX module which exposes some useful OpenMRS server management data via JMX beans, and makes it easy for other modules to expose their own beans. So curious to hear any suggestions for what this module should/should not do.
