The module was delayed and waiting on the 1.8.3 release<https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/RES/Release+Notes+1.8.3>due to a few minor bugs that required changes to core. Now that that is released and ready for everyone, so is the Synchronization Module! As with anything new, please be *very* mindful of the documentation. Sync brings great possibilities, but not without a few shortcomings. The setup and maintenance of a synchronized set of servers is slightly different than that of a normal OpenMRS server.
