If you are looking to use a new widget with an existing tag (like, for example to use the appointment date widget to select the date for the encounterDate tag), unfortunately, I don't believe this is currently possible.
However, you can create and register entirely new HTML Form entry tags from other modules (and then use the new widgets within these tags). There isn't step-by-step documentation on how to do this, but there is information (which I just updated) on the HTML Form Entry Module Technical Overview<https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/HTML+Form+Entry+Module+Technical+Overview> wiki page. I would recommend reading through this page for more information. https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/HTML+Form+Entry+Module+Technical+Overview Take care, Mark From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Ruzigana Manzi Desire Sent: Monday, December 19, 2011 7:10 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [OPENMRS-DEV] Registering A new Widget to htmlformentry Hi all, I am working on a new module for EHSDI, which uses an appointment date widget and I was wondering how I would register the widget so that it can be used in htmlformentry. I am using openmrs18 and my module has a dependency on htmlformentry 1.7.3.
