Hi there developers, It's the time of year again when folks in the open source world start thinking about OSCON. If you've never heard of it, OSCON is the world's major open source conference held each year in Portland, Oregon (US). Several thousand open source geeks of wide background attend, and it's a great chance to learn about other projects, tools, and techniques that are out there.
Some of us have been talking about how OpenMRS could participate in (July) 2012. The call for participation [0] is now open, and while a few of us have a couple ideas for short (40-minute) presentations we could share, we'd like to get ideas from the larger OpenMRS community. What cool stuff (both in terms of health care and open source itself) are we doing that we could share? Take a look at the Call for Participation page [0] for some ideas of potential "tracks" at the conference and actual talks presented this past year [1] to get started thinking about ideas. There are some YouTube videos as well [2] with interviews and keynotes so you can get an idea of the type of technical audience that attends OSCON. (As a note, last year OSCON had separate parallel conferences for developers on Java and Data topics. This year, both of them have "merged" and will become tracks at the main event.) Let's use this thread to hear your thoughts. Thanks for your help!
