Hi everyone,
During the next 2 weeks, from April 2 - 13, we will be running a Sprint
focused on the reporting module. In preparation for this, we are
spending time organizing the tickets in JIRA
<https://tickets.openmrs.org/browse/REPORT>, setting up a Sprint
dashboard
<https://tickets.openmrs.org/secure/Dashboard.jspa?selectPageId=11554>
and (hopefully) doing some much needed improvements to documentation on
the wiki <https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/Reporting+Module>. Some
of this will continue to evolve over the course of the Sprint. If you
are a developer (or manage a team of developers) and have been waiting
for the right time to learn the reporting module code base and influence
it's further direction, this will be a great opportunity to dive in.
Currently, the scope of the Sprint appears to have focus around the
following key areas:
* Improving UI consistency and capabilities around running reports,
managing queued and scheduled reports, and searching the report history
* Adding the ability to tag / categorize reports
* Time permitting, Implement a first pass at a row-per-patient "Data
Export Tool"
* Address a selection of key implementation bug reports and enhancement
requests that have been prioritized
Although the scope of this sprint has largely taken shape, there is
still time to advocate for particular tickets or suggest new features
that you would like to see worked on.
