Hi everyone,
I'm looking into the possibility of sending Hl7 messages into OpenMRS via
the REST module. I've spent the day studying this up (thanks to
the wiki and mailing list archives)
Now, I'd like to clarify the following-
1. I can send HL7 messages into the rest module only using the url format POST
/openmrs/ws/rest/v1/hl7. I should not use urls which direct to patients or
encounters even if the HL7 message contains an encounter or a patient. The
HL7 queue takes care of converting the HL7 into the object is
really represents. That is, if I send a HL7 with a create encounter action,
it will go ahead and create an encounter.
2. As per the wiki page, I've been trying to use the TEST link on the
OpenMRS REST web services to test out the module. I started up the HL7
process task, and navigated to the 'testing REST Uri's page. The fields of
this page are already populated with the following data-
1.TYPE : GET
2.URI : /openmrs/ws/
mrest/v1/patient/495b10c4-56bd-11df-a35e-0027136865c4
3. Body content : {patient:'39234823'}
Now since this is a GET request, there cant be a body, so I took the
liuberty of removing the body content. I then re-tried with the 'body
content' field intect.
In both attempts, I got a '404: page / object not found.
Can anyone point me to the mistake im committing here please ?

Suranga
