Hi Rob,

I deactivated all extensions an deinstallated the language packs (I've still got those in my windows download folder, so I can easily reinstall them). Now, even after all them gone some 25 seconds after starting OpenOffice the "available updates" button with text is popping up. I also did what Roberto told me, checking for updates by way of the extension manager, but there aren't any. Next thing I did was removing the extensions completely. When I removed the pdf import extension the button for available updates vanished rightaway. And when I reinstalled it the button did not return. There was an update for pdf import a short while ago and I think the update button popped up ever since that update.

Hi,

my AOO 4 has started to pop a message that updates for extensions are
available whenever I start the program. But when I click that button (right
top) there isn't any update at all. Shouldn't that message only pop up when
updates are actually available? Version is 4.0.0 German, OS is Win 8 64 bit,
my extensions are English and Italian language packs, PDF import extension
and Professional Template Pack II English.

I don't know if that is a (known) bug ... I thought it was better to ask you
before I file one.

This is the first report I've heard of this. Would it be possible for
you to narrow this down a little, by disabling the extensions and
adding them back one-by-one, to see which one is reporting an
available update?

Regards,
