As usual your explanations are both succinct and cogent. The nuts and bolts technical details I am sure would be far beyond my pay grade. As I am not a programmer I just wanted to double check my reading of all the links. I am off to the c-wiki to start a hopefully simple and understanding statement of the problem. Regards Keith
