Hi there!

EIS has got a few new features.

First of all comment handling has been changed as requested by QA.
Starting immediatly the description field has been renamed to remark and the QA Comment field is gone. Now there is only one field to add comments to a CWS which should be used by both QA + Development.

Additionally there where two feature request which have been integrated at the same time: The first is to have some kind of history about who added what and when to the comment and the other was to be able to select wether text added should be considered being HTML or should be used as preformatted text.

The EditCWS form will contain a textbox where newly added comments for the remark field can be entered. Those new comments will be appended to the existing text and prefixed with a line which includes the author, the date and the timezone information in rfc822 timezone format, that is offset from GMT expressed in the form "Sign TwoDigitHours Minutes". That means that when the CWS is shown remarks will look similar to those in issuezilla. Remarks can be added by the Owner, the QARep, a Member, the Gatekeeper or an Administrator.

There is going to be a smooth transition for CWSs which already have a QA Comment for these both the new remark field and the QA Comment field are shown on the EditCWS page. The user can add comments to the QA Comments field in the same manner as with the new remark field.

Please keep comments as short and concise as possible mainly because there is a limit of 4000 characters on the database for the comment string. Comments should only include essential information, a long discussion about the CWS should be done separately, eg. via mailing lists.

Annother change introduced is that one can now request builds for a ChildWorkspace. This change was introduced to support communication between QA and development regarding installation package requirements on ChildWorkspaces.

The CWS Edit page will contain a new multiselect listbox where special build features can be requested for a Childworkspace, eg. a needed platform, a needed Product, a needed language or a special type of installation package.

Currently the list of requestable build features contains the following entries:
