  I will guess you need to port UNO, which is probably not trivial, but
I haven't looked at it.

  Or, you could use a webservice or some other http method, and have
that gateway do all the translating, so you have a tiny api for the
portable device, and can still interact with the real OO.

  That should work, I would guess, and be more reasonable in terms of
effort, IMO.
