Hi jean Christophe,
I need info about how OOo recognizes that an embedded file is
displayed in such and such way.
did you try to insert an objetc in a blank document and unzip the file
that may give you some usefull starting points
Laurent,
Thank you for your answer.
Well, to tell you the truth, I started 2-3 weeks ago with a PPT import
including extensive XLS OLE stuff.
This is what brought me to a previous mail about importing OLE objects
(the 1.1.4 default does not seem to import them, need to check
load/save option boxes).
So, then I got my file converted to SXI, I unziped it and I saw all
those Objects sub folders there.
And I also saw that a lot of them (I have a huge lot of them :) have
exactly the same size.
Considering that my file has embedded xls sheets portions displayed on
multiple slides, I suppose some of the objects are actually copies of
the same file including reference about the part to be displayed on
which slide.
Problem is that I use a tool that does not (yet ?) parse that
information and so I am facing what looks like multiple instances of
the same files, which is a little redundant to me since I need to
translate the thing.
I checked the documentation I found on the web to no avail yet, but I
don't despair :)
Now, _that_ was a good starting point wasn't it ? ;)
Jean-Christophe
