no, OOo cannot currently do this - that's because we don't have printers with their own harddisk ;-) What you try, to achieve something like the described behaviour is using EPS images for your graphics, and embedding custom PS within those EPS graphics to load high-res graphics, when rasterized on your printer (_if_ your printer is PostScript, that is).
