Hello Matthias,
the error reporting application stores it's server configuration data
within the bootstrap[rc|.ini] file within the program directory. If you
reset eg. the ErrorReportServer entry then no data can be sent to it's
soap server "report.services.openoffice.org" via http.
----<bootstraprc>--------
[ErrorReport]
ErrorReportPort=80
ErrorReportServer=report.services.openoffice.org
-------------------------
If you still don't trust the application (but you can) then you could
disable the error reporter application by renaming or deleting it
mv crash_report _crash_report
But this would result into an error message that the crash reporter
application cannot be found.
On the other hand I wouldn't disable the crash reporter as it helps
everyone because based on crash data we can improve the quality of the
application.
For the registration dialog within the first start wizard I do not see a
problem as the application just tries to open a browser if the user
explicitly selects to register. No further registration process is
triggered if either "I do not want to register" or "I have already
registered" is checked within the first start wizard.
Kind regards, Joost
