Dear Sandah, It is very good to want to invest time on OOo. We do not make people work here (as far as I know), but if you have some idea you could suggest it here and develop it.
Do not forget that we do not need only developers, so you can do waht ever you want. However there is a list of ideas somewhere on the website, but I xan't remember where.
