Martin Desruisseaux and his team has designed a new add-in for Calc.
It's under LGPL and it makes a bridge between Calc and another free
software Geotools (http://www.geotools.org/)
This geographical add-in makes transformations between different
coordinate refency systems. It contains an embedded database EPSG
http://www.epsg.org/ (used via HSQL internally) that contain the
definitions of more than 3000 referency systems throughout the world.
Functions are still in english so you may understand them :)
