But the dialog clearly states that the registration is for the
OpenOffice.org product, and that registration is not required ("not
compulsory and without obligation").

I'm not quite sure if I understood that correctly. You're not installing
OOo, but you're installing your product, and the installation procedure
uses OOo and that pops up the registration dialog? That would just mean
that OOo was already installed but never used yet, which is up to the
user, and if you would suppress and disable the dialog the user might
never know about the possibility of registering with the OOo site. IMHO
not such a good idea. The dialog would not pop up if the user already
used OOo before and had chosen one of the options to not present the
dialog again.
