Garnett,

Gr8! The log4j is working perfectly now. Thx.

Even though it's not so critical for me right now (as log4j is working) I wonder if anyone has an answer for the question 1 ?

thx,

mauricio

Mauricio,

You can enable log4j in OOo. To do this, you must add the jars
to the classpath. One way to do this is to use the Tools-Options dialog
in OOo.

Once you have brought up the OOo Options dialog select Java. On
the right of the dialog is a button to modify the classpath. You can
add the log4j jars here.

WARNING: if you include jars/classes in your application and do
not modify the classpath then your application will not run and no
errors will be reported.

Subject: [dev] Does OOo has a log file ?

Hi all,

I am writing a filter in java for OOo. Facing some bugs in this
filter
right now... trying to debug it, but, except by using pure
System.out.println (pretty basic and annoying logging mechanism), I
cannot get any logging/debuging information out of the filter. so, my
questions are:

1 - Is there a file where I can find the what exception
was raised or
get any logging/debug information ?

2 - This filter re-uses some java classes which are
based in log4j -
is it possible to enable log4j in OOo ?

Thx,

Mauricio
