this is currently only useful for Thai. This feature checks if the entered character sequence is valid (a Thai character cluster consists of a consonant, an optional vowel, and an optional tone mark). Invalid sequences are rejected. Have a look at the specification:

 In our Hebrew
build, enabling this has caused words to be unexplicably reversed on some installations.

Might be related to / caused by i59659.
