Hi Martin

As you may know, whe had some troubles setting up the website
it is available since the very end of january and i put some rough contents
http://extensions.openoffice.org/

I think we need some clarification on nomenclature and some links from the project home page to the wiki to make these efforts more open.

I agree

I really would like to see feedback from 3rd parties regarding OOo Extensions/Addons.

the wikipage regarding tyhe gathering is a start
but there remain some issues such like : presentation, validation by the community, categorization

Are we able to start some efforts in parallel, gathering some help information could be done at the same time as you will take care about some organizational items.

I do not like this kind of job (organizational items and redactional issues) but have to do it. So i'll try to do my best as quick as possible

Sure one can start but i suggest to post at least one mail on the [EMAIL PROTECTED] list to inform that a wiki part is started and which one, topic covered
Moreover, perharps try to fit in the already defined ategories
- develop : tools for addon developpers
- organize : third party tools gathering and organizing
- deploy : tools for deploying directly to user

The main question is : as more and more content is going to Wiki, do we still need the "extensions" web site as living pages ?
I do not think so. I see ii moe as an entry point
I already suggested using heavily the wiki for translations on [EMAIL PROTECTED] list but this can be extended to all the content
Any opinion ?

Laurent
