I don't think File->New->Templates and documents -> Samples is the
best place to put them, but that is probably easier to do than my
suggestions, which is to put another menu item in the Help menu for
"Documentation" or "User Guides" or something similar.

Impress Guide is being worked on too. No target date for completion yet.
... The menu modification is a good thing and I will do it for the
next version. Do you have idea how can do it? I know I have to modify
all OOo applications menu XML file.
Sorry, but I do not have any idea how to modify a menu, as I am not a
programmer. Someone on this list should be able to tell you.
