Hi,
we have stumbled into trouble with a customization thing; changeing a
lots of the icons in the toolbars and the menus. The normal Tools >
Customize > Toolbar > Modify > Change Icon > Import does not work very
stable everywhere :( And another strange thing is that even if we have
replaced the actual image-files (for example
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/16x16/apps/openofficeorg-20-writer.png) it
seems to have no effect.
Hi Nils-Odd,
The images in /usr/share/icons/hicolor/... are only used for the system
integration. There are not related to toolbar or menu images.
Is there a icon cache somewhere? Other tips and tricks and ideas?
Official way to modify icons, toolbars and menus? It's a kind of theme..
OpenOffice.org uses a cache in your user configuration folder for image
lists. Under Windows these is normally placed under "<system
drive:>/Documents And Settings/<user name>/Application
Data/OpenOffice.org2/user/config/imagecache. Under Unix the user
configuration folder is normally placed in your home folder.
And these dropdown buttons like "New", how can we modify them/the icons
in them? And menus like File > New > {....}
OpenOffice.org uses a single zip archive for its images. The file can be
found in the <Office installation folder>/share/config/images.zip. The
toolbar and menu images are in a subfolder "res/commandimagelist" in the
zip archive.
Regards,
Carsten
