Hello,
I'm trying to develop some interest on the part of the developers in
fixing a very simple, yet very annoying bug that was introduced in
2.0.3, that still hasn't even been marked as confirmed in the bug tracker.
First, I am very familiar with the old saying, 'the squeaky wheel gets
the grease', so that's all I'm trying to be here. I'm a long time user
of OOo and have nothing but appreciation for all of the hard work
contributed by the developers to make OOo the success that it is, and
for that, I thank you!
That said...
I am very concerned that this bug -
www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=66990 - is still marked as
unconfirmed, and there is not one question or follow-up by any dev.
This has got to be a very simple fix, which makes it even more
frustrating. And before anyone leaps - if I *was* a programmer, I'd be
more than happy to submit a patch, but I'm not.
This happens on all of our computers, all XP Pro sp2 with all hot fixes.
Anyway, I hope this email strikes a chord of sympathy in someone who
*is* capable of fixing this issue, so that our office of 50 will not
have to remain with 2.0.2 forever.
