OpenOffice.org supports icons theme switching. Is there anything (issue, idea, plan, implementation, ...) which describes dynamic icon theme switching when viewing help content - show same icons as UI has? I have big number of feedbacks on this topic - users are simply confused, when help contains different icons than running OpenOffice.org.
Help images are taken from the default_images module. See the Help Authoring Guide, page 91. Open the Guide on http://documentation.openoffice.org/online_help/techdetails.html
Inside the *.xhp help files, which themselves are located inside the installed *.jar files, the images are referenced like this example:
<image id="img_id3152460" src="res/baswatr.png" width="0.25inch" height="0.222inch"><alt id="alt_id3152460" xml-lang="en-US">Icon</alt></image>
In the Help Viewer, this is shown as HTML code like this (path edited by me): <IMG SRC="vnd.sun.star.pkg://file:%2F%2F%2F{some_more_paths}opt%2Fstaroffice8%2Fshare%2Fconfig%2Fimages.zip/res/baswatr.png" NAME="graphics1" ALT="Icon" ALIGN=BOTTOM WIDTH=18 HEIGHT=16 BORDER=0></P>
I don't know how icon switching works, icon-code-wise.
