Hello,

Vodes.Net is a not-for-profit foundation which promotes - among other things - open source software among students. In this respect two things should be mentioned:

1) We organise a course at universities in Europe for students on "How to Write a Master Thesis with OpenOffice". Have a look here (first lecture at Stockholm University, December 2006): http://www.vodes.net/rev/oocourse/

2) Our (primarily student) community is producing video tutorials for openoffice. Have a look here: http://www.vodes.net/rev/Other_Events/OO_Course/OOC%11460701/. Here you can post comments on the video and the lecture plan: http://www.vodes.net/rev/btforum/index.php?topic=74.0

We are looking for people who provide us with input, critisism and good ideas for the tutorials and lecture plan.

In addition, we are looking for a skilled developer in Java to work with us on the creation of a game which shows kids/people how to recycle. We are working with Greenpeace on this. Money is available for this task (200 Euro upfront and up to 600 euro when we find corporate sponsors for the game). We post this info here because one of the main criteria (apart from technical skills) to award this - and future works - is support of open movements (expressed in forum postings, contributions on mailing lists etc).

If you are interested in working with us please do not hesitate to drop us a line.
