Yes, but the same is true if we keep it as it is: always start with "All files". I think we already have too much configuration settings. This should be something that is fixed. There's no "right" or "wrong" here, it's the way how the project wants to present itself: as an integrated package or a bunch of losely coupled applications. So far we preferred the first option. I know that we already changed some other things that made OOo look more like separated applications and I hate most of them. The most unfortunate change was that in the tree of the "Options" dialog only the options of the current application are shown and not (as in OOo1.x) all options. I would hate to add more of this unfortunate separations.
