Hello,

My name is Tom and I'm writing a paper on what open source projects do to
attract developers. I've been hanging out on IRC and asking around but I was
told to also ask around on the lists (sorry for cross posting). I'm very
interested in OO.o initiatives in this area.

Specifically, are there things that are done in terms of helping developers
adapt OO.o to their needs (the extension framework is one example of this,
but I'd love to hear of others), what is done to help ensure that 3rd party
developers are involved, what is done to help ensure that these developers
*feel* involved, what "cool" technologies are available to OO.o developers
(outside of the platform Independence of the OO.o code and plethora of
language bindings), and what is done to make entry into the OO.o environment
easier?

I'm also curious how can OO.o be embedded in other apps? Has this been done
often?

I would really appreciate any information,

Tom

P.S.

I've used the Netbeans to make a simple hello world plugin and it's great!
