with OpenOffice.org 2.1 release a new switch for configure was introduced:
--enable-crashdump (Enable the crashdump feature code, the default is no)
Just one note to add:
If you do release a version you must also be the one to provide backend
infrastructure for handling of crash reports send from users if you did
configure with --enable-crashdump and you must configure the different
web address for this service to send the crash reports to for your
builds as naturally Sun´s backend infrastructure does not know anything
about your builds and does not have stuff like debug information for
your builds available in order to make any use of a crash report. As far
as we currently know no one else than Sun currently has such backend
infrastructure that´s why the default is no here.
