I'm trying to compile with blackdown-jdk on amd64 because it said that it
had been reported to work on the wiki. I'm using version 1.5.
However, during ooinstall, it fails saying it could not register all
components. I thought this was a python problem because I the last thing in
the log file was python, but now i think it is actually java because the log
file fails on all of those components. What could be the problem and is
there anyway to fix it? Could I somehow fix it and maybe contribute it to
the amd64 port?
If not and I'll have to use gcj can any fellow Gentooers explain how to
install gcj as a jdk on gentoo?
Just install it anywhere and to use --with-jdk-home= ?
I had the same error registering components with the Sun JDK and
gcj-4.1 runs fine here.
