I spoke too soon; I failed in 'vcl' unit 'util'; I'll post the error in the morning when I get back to work; unless someone steps in with info that it is a 'known' error.

velosologan;
Thank You. I THOUGHT I had already tried that; but I guess I made a typo or something. I include the 'export' line in build.sh, and it happily went on it's way. That is on my Mac at work; and it is working on the compile at the moment. On another topic. Do you build under Leopard? If you do, did you have any trouble with ant / Java? I've got a problem on my Quad G5 at home I'm trying to diagnose; that I'm going to post on another thread.

Thanks again,
Russell

Often the files is in "/usr/lib/pkgconfig"

in my machine I define

I'm trying to follow the AquaBuild instructions from the wiki, and
I'm getting an error while running the build.sh script.

checking for openssl ... Package openssl was not found in the pkg-
config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing
`openssl.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package
'openssl' found
configure: error: Library requirements (openssl ) not met; consider
adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries
are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.

I've installed the openssl package via fink. exited terminal.
restarted terminal, and re-executed build.sh . And still get the same
error. Anyone know how I can continue from here???
