What is the sense in allowing to switch to that icon set if this will
result in a GUI that looks like a dog's breakfast? Switching to this
icon set only makes sense if also the system is switched to
"hiContrast". And in that case the icons of OOo will be switched
automatically to hiContrast anyway.

So proposal A makes more sense to me.
