I'm trying to install the latest snapshot on a Fedora Linux system. Normally, I can use rpm to install the packages in the LinuxIntel tarball.

However the latest snapshot has no RPMs:

$ tar tzf OOo-Dev_DEV300_m29_LinuxIntel_install_en-US.tar.gz | grep -i rpm
./OOo_3.0.29_unxlngi6_install/ooo-dev/basis3.0/program/python-core-2.3.4/lib/distutils/command/bdist_rpm.py

Unpacking the tarball appears to create a pre-installed tree, but trying to run soffice fails:

$ /opt/openoffice.org.testing/ooo-dev-3.0/program/soffice
[Java framework] Error in function createSettingsDocument (elements.cxx).javaldx failed!

Any suggestions?

<Joe
