Sounds good for me also. Perhaps we can use that to also fix the problem with certain Windows editors: they turn line ends of files checked out with Cygwin into garbage. This happens because they add Windows lineends to the Unix line ends instead of replacing them or - even better - switch to an edit mode with Unix line ends.
