If it doesn't work it seems that the changes made for the "3 layer
office" have introduced a library search order that looks into the
program directories before the PATH variable is evaluated. Sorry for the
wrong track.

Indeed.

So possibly a source change you made is "incompatible" (or the source
doesn't match the installed version at all).
